December 1, 2017 – Covington Partners has joined Cincinnati Magazine’s Cincinnati Gives Challenge, an unprecedented, year-end fundraising campaign held on Crowdrise, the crowdfunding platform for good. Cincinnati Magazine’s Cincinnati Gives Challenge, presented by Procter and Gamble (P&G), equips local charities with and facilitates connections between the interests of donors and the needs of local non-profits. More than 100 Cincinnati charities are participating and competing for $30,000 in prize money.
“We are thrilled to participate in this year’s Cincinnati Gives Challenge,” said Executive Director Stacie Strotman. “This is an excellent opportunity for us to build awareness about Covington Partners and raise funds to support our mission of eliminating boundaries to learning and success for Covington students.”
The Cincinnati Gives Challenge launched on Giving Tuesday, November 28, at noon and ends on January 2, 2018 at 2 p.m. The organization that raises the most money during the challenge wins a $15,000 “grand prize” donation; second place wins $6,000 and third place wins $3,000. Weekly bonus challenges offer non-profits like Covington Partners the chance to win additional funds. One-hundred percent of the funds raised on Crowdrise through the magazine’s challenge are funneled directly to the participating charities.
Cincinnati Magazine’s Cincinnati Gives Challenge is the first of its kind in the city. It was designed to leverage the power of the crowd to make a powerful and meaningful impact in our community. This is the second year of the month-long challenge. Last year it raised nearly $250,000 for local charities.
