Q. What is your most used emoji?
A. The cowboy hat emoji! He looks like such a happy little guy.
Q. What was the worst haircut you ever had?
A. The bangs I'm still currently trying to grow out. Mistakes were made.
Q. Who was your childhood actor/actress crush?
A. Ron Pearlman, and still is to this day!
Q. Does your current car have a name? What is it?
A. Yes! My current car’s name is Gerdrudis.
Q. You have to sing karaoke, what song do you pick?
A. "Un Millón de Primaveras" by Vicente Fernández
Q. If aliens landed on earth tomorrow and offered to take you home with them, would you go?
A. I’m a huge fan of Ridley Scott’s Alien movies, so absolutely not.
Q. ‘60s, ‘70s, ‘80s, ‘90s: Which decade do you love the most and why?
A. I’d say the ‘60s. It was the decade in which the Chicano Movement began in the US. With hard work and dedication came a new era of social and political change for the Latino/Hispanic community. It’s very inspiring, and I strongly believe it is due time for a new one.
Q. What is your favorite video game?
A. That’s a tough one! I think I’d have to go with Skyrim.
Q. Do you ever talk to yourself when you're alone?
A. I talk to myself pretty much exclusively when I make sandwiches.
Q. What is your favorite family vacation?
A. Going to Mexico to see my family in December!
Q. What is your proudest accomplishment?
A. I’m a first generation college graduate!
Q. What are your hobbies?
A. I love plants and nature. I hike, have a ton of houseplants, and study entomology in my free time, especially arachnids. Spiders are less scary once you get to know them!
Q. What's your favorite family recipe?
A. My mom’s homemade red enchiladas.
Q. What's your favorite movie?
A. Brendan Fraser’s The Mummy.
Q. What was your favorite subject in school?
A. Sociology! It’s one of my degrees.
Q. How many languages do you speak?
A. I speak two fluently (English & Spanish). Working on three (Russian)!
Q. What’s the funniest animal you’ve ever owned as a pet?
A. I had a cockatiel named Caspian when I was a kid! He was such a good bird. RIP little homie.
Q. What’s your favorite part of a county fair?
A. The food!

A. My family and close friends call me Karlita!
